Give Something Bike 2018

Welcome to GIVE SOMETHING BIKE 2018!!! We’re off to the races, once again gifting brand new bikes to tween and teen foster youth in Los Angeles this holiday season!

Why Los Angeles? Because in the LA foster care system, there are more at-risk youth than almost any other state as a whole.

Why tweens and teens? Because come the holidays, the ones most forgotten are the older kids. Foster tweens and teens often receive little to no love when it comes to donated gifts.

Why bikes? Because bikes rock. And they HELP. Many foster youth rely on these bikes to get safely to and from school and work. Without them, they are even more at-risk. Bikes also offer a sense of freedom, independence and responsibility. 

Over the last 3 years, with the help of many incredibly kind donors and sponsors, we put brand new bicycles, helmets and locks in the hands of HUNDREDS of at-risk foster youth in Los Angeles (see my original 2015 GoFundMe campaign here , 2016’s here  and 2017’s here ).

The 2018 holiday season is coming up fast. With your help, let’s gear up to bring smiles to even more foster youth when we host our annual bike giveaway in a few weeks on December 15th. I set our sights even higher this year, but with your kindness, I believe we can do it!

Please help us to raise enough to make this holiday season magic for at least 200 foster kids!

With the kind support again this year from Kent International  bikes and Pure Cycles , your generous donation of JUST $69 will get one foster youth a (1) BRAND NEW KENT BIKE (either the Thruster Rage or the 2Cool), (2) a RAZOR HELMET and (3) a KENT BIKE LOCK. This donation amount also includes all fees for GoFundMe, payment processing, bike assembly and delivery. (This is why we start the campaign so early – we need enough time to build all the bikes before our giveaway party for the kids on December 15th.)
